 Epoca 6 - A great start

Valued customers,

following the intensive development and test phase, we were able to launch our new products, the Epoca 6 and Epoca 6 pro, at the start of April. These two new machines are a further result of the consistent implementation of our product strategy, which we began with the second generation of Epoca 5. Our entire team worked under extreme pressure to achieve this goal and is delighted by the positive feedback and approval received from the market. With over 60 units already sold, we have made a great start, despite what is still a difficult time for the market.

Allow me to say a few words of thanks to all those who made this possible. I would like to say a very special thank you to the customers, who believed in our concept from the word go and ordered the first machines. Thanks also to the outstanding team in Arbon, who worked very hard on the development of the product during very difficult times, and will continue to do so.

We will continue to pull out all the stops. We will further improve the quality of all our products and services, and will systematically expand our production options offered by the Epoca 6 product platform.

It will soon be time for Barcelona to host the ITMA. Under the umbrella name of Oerlikon Textile, we at Oerlikon Saurer will present our latest Epoca 6 product platform. At this point, I would like to invite you to visit us at our stand D 131 in hall 2. The entire Oerlikon Saurer trade fair team and I look forward to seeing you.

Epoca 6 and Epoca 6 pro

When designing the new Epoca, our engineers placed great emphasis on the central requirements of professional embroidery which are:

  • maximum productivity
  • absolute reliability and
  • best embroidery quality

In order to fulfil the different needs and requirements of our worldwide customers we offer 2 products; an Epoca 6 and an Epoca 6 pro. It goes without saying that e.g. the material characteristics, the speed, the motors and electronics are the same for both machines. The difference is the setting possibilities of the Epoca 6 pro.

Innovation and highest quality do describe the new machine platform most accurately. The successfully launched machine system combines new drive and control concepts. With the benefit of a large variety of innovative details and individual solutions, a vast diversity of materials can be worked into sophisticated designs with the highest quality of embroidery. The new concepts for drive units, adjustability and thread cutting guarantee maximum productivity and absolute reliability. The exceptional user-friendliness is unique and in conjunction with the graphical user interface perfectly completes the all-round qualities of the system.

With the Epoca 6 we introduce a genuine innovation like the electronically adjustable fabric presser. Because of the adjustable opening angle and presser timing, every design can be produced without distortion.

The Epoca 6 pro opens, as mentioned before, new dimensions with regard to adjustability. The new electronically adjustable thread guide, which by the way is new to the world and to the market, you will optimise the embroidery process and save all data with the design. The Epoca 6 pro is a machine custom tailored for an era where orders are getting smaller and smaller but the demands and requirements are growing continuously.
